Adjusting the e-brake is easy. I have had to do this myself a couple of times. Here is a good How-To on the subject >>Click here<< Good luck! Also I am moving this to "General Technical Chat".

Any info for one equipped with an arm rest? Just another bolt holding down the rear side or is it pretty much the same?

You only need to remove one part. The e-brake leather cover from the front side of the car first. Pop up and off the leather cover and remove. You can easily access the nut to adjust. Re-install the e-brake leather cover. For arm rest equipped and non arm rest equipped ford focus.

I wrote that as a comment in the link you provided[cheers]
