2013 Job 2 Focus
 

Does anybody know what the Job 2 updates are for the Focus? Also (I know it is off topic), the Fusion, as well?

I know the Job 2 Foci have the 4-way headrests, because when my dealership had to replace my passenger seat, the seat came from a Job 2 car and had them instead of the 2 way ones. Other than that I have no idea

That was for Job 2 2012. The op was asking about the 2013 MY, which at this point I'm not aware of any changes for a "job 2" build.

12/6/12 were the last changes done for '13 models, not sure it counts as "job 2" though.

Grille light and siren pre-wire package. Oh, never mind, that's only in Germany, on the Focus Polizeiabfangauto model.

What is meant by the term "Job 2"?

Job 1 is the first series of builds for the model year. If there is a sufficient change to the build process as to constitute a major revision or even a sufficient number of minor changes all at once then it can start a new "job" number. Job 2 is logically the second change within a model year. If it went beyond this again there could theoretically be a Job 3 or greater.

How does one know when a new Job has started?

When they publish a new order guide, but unless you have access to this, or the dealer's leak it, otherwise you don't really know until after its been made publicly available.

When I went to get my rubber floor mats for my 2013, the parts department said my car was a second build car. It was manufactured on 12/18/2012. Don't know if this helps because I'm not sure if ALL parts are labeled as "Job 2" parts but I do know the floor mats have a different part number.
I would imagine a total rebuild would be a logistical pain to reassign new part numbers to parts that are cross 'Job' models. From what I would think is that any part numbers that differ this would mean those would be the areas that were different between designs.
