Removing SVT Focus shifter knob

If I'm not mistaken if you pull the leather boot up it will reveal a nut you can put a wrench on and twist off.

That is correct. You need to get the boot up and above the shifter then you will see the nut.

It's on there, so don't be surprised if you sweat a bit getting it off. [;)]

Thanks for the help guys, I'll give it a shot in the morning!

To get the boot off, you just go from the end towards your e-brake and push forward and lift.

It's on by 2 tabs in the back of the boot and one tab in the front of the boot.

Or do it the hard way and take the four screws that hold down your center console that are located in your cup-holders.

Just dont be too rough when you remove the boot or reinstall it. The thing holding the boot to the console has been known to break.
