Value of SVT
 

If this is the wrong area for this topic, I apologize, THIS IS NOT A FOR SALE POST. I have a 2003 ZX5 SVT Focus. It's silver with blue interior. It has 150,500 miles. The windshield is cracked and the rear passenger door is dented from where someone backed into it last summer. Door only opens from the inside now. There is some rust behind the wheels on the lower part of the body.

Kelley Blue Book gives the value of the car in "fair" condition as $3551. According to their definition of "fair" I will go with that being the condition of the car. I plan to sell this car in the spring. Obviously, it will have more miles on it by then. I do not intend to repair anything on it, except for maybe the windshield.

I will try to get some pictures on here tomorrow to give you a better idea of the condition of the vehicle. What I want to know is what should i realistically expect to get for this car? I hold no delusions about it being a greater car than it is, I'm not trying to rip anyone off, but at the same time, I don't want to rip myself off. If this were your vehicle, what would you start it at and what would you settle for? Thanks.

Theres no real judgement anyone can put for value on your car unless really they have the credentials to. but to anyone who would just see a ford focus with a dent and craked windshield would probably put it at 2500 bux

And a door that doesn't open from the outside... But agreed with price range ^^^

Thanks everyone. That's actually a little more than I expected. As soon as I get new tires on my truck, the car is gone, hopefully in the next couple weeks.

SVT's are hard to put a value on.

They can sell for WAY above Blue Book, or WAY below.

Totally dependent on the car and it's condition/issues.

I hate to say it but the car is probably worth more in pieces than it is as a whole car. I think the $2500-3000 valuation as a private sale is probably pretty accurate.

It's hard to say, I can't sell mine for $4,400 and it only has 78,000 miles
