Will these rims fit?
I want this pair of XXR 527s, they are 4x100..so i want to get an adapter to make it from 4x100 / 4x108. These are the rims
http://www.ebay.com/itm/330853274883...=p5197.c0.m619 and these are the adapters http://www.ebay.com/itm/4x4-5-4x114-...26bf07&vxp=mtr Will this set up work with my 2000 ford focus zx3? (Stock height, wrapping in 205/40/17's) |
That setup will "fit" however
the adapters will make the wheels stick out one inch further. not too big of a deal if you like that look. The rims are a 0mm offset, stock focus rims around around 50mm (give or take a few mm depending on which stock rim) 50mm is just under 2 inches. so add that to the adapter that rim, and they will be sticking out of your fender almost 3 inches. So it will "work" yet its not a good idea at all. |
Would it help at all if i got the +25 offset kind?
|
even with +25 offset wheels that spacer will kill you (its 1inch = 25.4mm)
use this to figure out a good fitment: http://www.rimsntires.com/specs.jsp 40mm offset on a 16x7 is a safe fit with a 205/50 while still looking aggressive. a 16x8.25 at 0 offset will stick out a lot. There is a happy medium between the two if you dont mind fender rolling/ pulling/ stretched tires and a lot of comber. Hopefully someone will chime in with specs for that, or just search |
Not worth the hassle when there are wheels in the same style available that are made to fit our cars.

well i like them because they have a good amount of spokes and kind of go in towards the rotor, idk i just really like em lol
|
The 3 I linked to above are all 10 spoke as well. XXR does not make that wheel in an offset that will work, with an adapter, for our cars.
|
:( ill just have to keep looking, do you know how wide you can go with rims? i seen a nice pair of 4x108 but had a 9-10" rim, cant remember which
|
Those adapters wouldnt work anyway as they go from:
Vehicle: 4x4.5 / 4x114.3 or 4x100 to Wheel: 4x4.25 / 4x108 you would need the opposite going from the 4x108 to the 4x114.3 or 4x100 |
Are you just lowering or stancing?
