Paint - blue theme
 

Hey all,
I'm thinking of doing a "blue theme" with my tuxedo black sedan. [woot] I really hate all the chrome. I really love the Kona Blue and the Performance Blue (btw is Kona the same color as the Ford emblem?). So I want to paint some things, at least the chrome, with blue!
My issue is all I can find through Ford is the touch-up (0.5 ounces) paint. I found another site that sells "Ford" paint in larger quantities, but it does not have all of the colors, namely Performance Blue.

So I need help finding a way to get enough paint to at least paint my chrome fog bezals and some other stuff, and to get the right color I want.

PS: please vote for Kona Blue or Performance blue - which would best fit with Tuxedo Black. Thanks!

well looks like I may just have answered my own question ... see

But I still need suggestions as to how much paint to get, and if I should get the aerosol can or if I should buy a spray gun and paint and all that.

And the vote still stand! Performance Blue vs. Kona Blue! (I want a dark blue but am afraid that Kona might be too dark.) Tell me what you all think!

On the website under the 2012 colors I vote sonic blue pearl.

I'm having a really hard time telling the difference between Performance Blue (Spirit Blue) and Sonic Blue Pearl. Which one is darker? And what is the difference between metallic and pearl? I mean which one is shinnier?

I think performance blue is a deeper blue, sonic has a lighter hue to it, and some purple mixed in.

ok looks good. I'm just trying to think of what to paint... I def want to pain the fog bezals. Any other suggestions? spoiler? Thx

Wheels would definitely look awesome.

You mean paint the silver parts of the wheel blue? I feel like that might be a bit much, unless its a darker blue so it doesn't stick out too much.

THe only thing I like on there is the racing stripe "dual outline" - the grey and blue are my favorite. You guys think it's worth it to buy/install it from Ford? And which strip looks better? Grey or Blue? I can't decide! thanks.
