Hydrodipped Parts
Hey all,
I have recently began dabbling in hydrographics (aka liquid transfer). Currently, my tank is smaller than i would like, so i am only looking to do small parts, such as mirror covers, dash bezels, console covers, trim, etc. If you are interested in any pricing, please shoot me a PM, and i will provide you discounted forum pricing on all services. |
Got any samples of your work. I was just going to buy a kit to do this.
I have a hydrodipper somewhat local to me. I've considered giving it a try for fun, but I have no idea what a service like that would run, or how durable the finish would be. I'd love to see some results on car parts, especially wheels!
the finish is extremely durable. After the dipping process we shoot our parts in 2k clear so that the parts have the same finish and durability as the rest of your cars finish, making it great for wheels.
Intriguing... Any guess as to how much a set of wheels would cost? Cheaper than powdercoating?
In any case, I subscribed to this thread, and I hope to see some results! It's a really cool process that can create some really unique patterns and pieces. |
What is the condition and finish of the rims?
Decent condition, some regular curb rash and slight bend in one of them. Currently they are plastidipped white, over black paint, over stock 5-spoke SVT rims.
would they need refinished (curb rash repair, straightening, etc.)? or are they clean enough for you to have them just prepped, shot in basecoat, and dipped?
Post a pic; I wanna see your finished work!
