Lightbulb and Fog light upgrade
 

With the days so short, I decided to upgrade my headlight and fog light bulbs. I went with PIAA extreme white bulbs for both sockets.

I have tried out a couple different fog light bulbs in the past and always found them too dim soooooo I found this mod that some Mazda RX8 owners did with the same bulb problem.

Modify H9 bulbs to fit our H11 Fog light sockets.

My fogs are now actually useful.

If anyone tells me to to put HIDs in a Focus, I'm going to slap them with my foot.

I use the Hella's myself. Work great & don't burn out like silverstars do.

The do really well.
Do not know how ling they will last though.

+1 for zXe's. I've got them in my fogs and BOY are they bright. They're a really nice white too. I'd recommend them. I just got some Philips X-treme Power headlights off of Amazon for 38 bucks shipped... which is like half the price of the zXe's. Them's expensive.

And believe it or not, I JUST had my right headlight (silverstar) go out... after almost 3 years. And yes, I drive it daily, yes, half of my commute (or sometimes all of it) is during dark hours. I think I just got a really good pair maybe?

You should toss some hids in the fog lights[hatchet]
You won't blind people like you would in the headlight housing but you get very effective fog lights.
