how much power do you think this will make??

okay my question is i have a 2001 cougar with a 2.0 zetec that ive been building a motor for in my basement and the head is all done i just have to put it on. what i want to know is how much power it will make.
it has,
-vct to non-vct conversion
-intake and exaust ports ported and polished baby smoth.
-crower stage 2 forced induction cams.
-.393/.393 lift
-240/240 duration
-crower springs and retainers.
2.5" manifold back exaust through thrush welded muffler.
k&n cold air intake.
head was not shaved.
what do you think it will make?[dunno]

Maybe 140 at the wheels.

That or around that. Are you planning to boost it?

Stover 01-02-2013 07:28 AM

Why did u polish the intake ports?

ner_das_uc_k 01-02-2013 09:05 AM

I am planing to boost it around 20psi.
I've herd to t

ner_das_uc_k 01-02-2013 09:21 AM

And I've herd two things about intake ports one is to make them big and smooth to flow as much air as possible and the other is to make them big bit leave them rough to atomize the fuel better so I decided to polish them and leave a ring about a half inch wide just to help out

Stover 01-02-2013 09:22 AM

That's what I was leaning twards usually if u go too smooth u can cost yourself power

Stover 01-02-2013 09:22 AM

But that would also depend on the spray pattern and characteristics of the injectors

ner_das_uc_k 01-02-2013 09:41 AM

Yeah I've always thought that the injectors did a good enough job my self but I guess I will see soon enough

With boost you'll make some nice power. With the intake ports I've always heard to leave them rough also. Do you have a built bottom end, and what type of fuel system are you running? With a stock bottom end your limited to about 250hp with a stock fuel system you can get up to 350hp if I remember right? You'll need a return style fuel system to make big power.
