dash color

Anyone have any suggestions of paints that most closely match the brown dashboard?

Paint for what? Metal, plastic trim, fabric?

plastic. I'm just looking to see if anyone's figured out a paint code that matches. If not, I'll just wing it.

I'd say brown interiors aren't the most common, so you may not get much feed back. The darker grey/blacks/light tan seem to be more prevalent. Just make sure your prep work is good and you should end up with decent results. Are re-painting most pieces or just trying to do touch ups?

planning on painting the covers over the door handle and window switches to match the dash, to give a wrap-around look.

Hey, another Wisconsinite. I used Krylon fusion (for plastic) and it turned out like poop. There's a good paint for this, but i can't for the life of me remember what it's called. I'm sure someone will chime in.

PPG plastic dye or SEM color coat. I've used the PPG with great results. Never used the SEM but I've heard good things.

Here is a color chart for the SEM and a link to their site. I'd throw a PPG link up too but couldn't find one as I go through a local body shop for all my PPG needs..

SEM is great and easy to use. I used the satin black for my radio surround and it looks factory, I tried using Fusion on it and it kept coming out terrible.

If you go with either SEM or PPG just remember the prep work is VITAL. I redid some trim in my camaro, started with a good cleaning, hit it it lightly with 1000grit sandpaper, a nice adhesion promotor, and then finally came time to spray color. Don't skimp on your prep or you wont have good results.
