2012 Ford Focus Speakers Question
 

I have noticed a loud rasp coming from the speaker in the rear left door. I decided to replace the speakers because I had thought I had blown one. As I was replacing the speakers in the car I noticed the speaker in the left rear door was different then all the other ones in the car. I wanted to know if anyone else has noticed this or if Ford just installed one wrong speaker. I paid for the upgraded Sony sound system which I believe the 3 speakers are.

Speaker on the Left is made out of a different material then the other three.

That one on the left does look like the lesser package speaker. I'd guess its the wrong one

The one on the right is the correct speaker for the Sony system.

Ok, Thank you I am guessing that they must have installed one incorrect speaker. I will contact the dealer tomorrow to see if they will fix this mistake....

I suspect there will be Ford part numbers on the back of each speaker. I'd put everything back together and then take it to the dealer.

You know, come to think of it that's pretty crappy.
They knew they were putting in the wrong speaker and just didn't care.

The doors are probably assembled on another line then attached to the car. It wouldn't be hard to put different speaker in
