Turn off traction control for as long as you want?
I was watching top gear last night, where they were making a movie chase scene between a jag and focus. In order to make the jag go around a corner with a drift clarkson pulled the fuse for the abs out of the fuse box of the jag, and the abs was no more. Some where between the idea of turning off driving aids via fuse box and the black focus tailing the jag. I was wondering if it is possible to take out the fuse for the traction control and still have the car start and function normally. Has anybody tried this? It would be great to have that option since in terms of control of my cars computer I since I have a base and only control over the trip odometer.

There is a 40A ABS/ESP pump fuse at F7 in the passenger compartment box but don't pull that one, if you want to disable ABS/ESP pull the luggage compartment F19 5A ABS/ESP feed fuse. |

Focus guys have been doing this sense 2002 on the SVT Focus , what you have to ask your self is what do you want no traction / ABS or ABS
ABS is HUGH on these cars for stopping even more for the guys with out rear disc brakes , I would choose wisely Tom |
I wish you could turn off the stability control just like you can the traction on the dash.

"Keep it press for 10 seconds"

I wish you could default the traction control off. The DCT drives so much smoother without it.
