Short throw shifter
Is there any really benefit to buy a short throw for our cars?
|
It's just I drive it daily
|
Yup. I absolutely love my CFM adjustable shifter. It adjusts from about stock height, down to around 3" below that. The throws are shorter no matter what height you have it, the shifters are more solid and connected, and you can control the notchiness and effort required to shift by adjusting the height. I have mine set at around half, which is a nice setting for daily driving.

Good to know I was pondering it an was thinking of getting one!

i just installed my steeda tri ax short shifter and love it! and i daily my car 50-75km a day!
|
Cool glad to hear all positive comments ill have to order one up!

I installed a Steeda shifter, I like it a lot. I found though with how short it made it, I found I was reaching too far forward to get it into 5th. So I cut it in half, welded little brackets to make the upper half about 1" offset towards the driver's seat. The point is, get one.

I also have the CFM and I installed mine myself. I don't usually and the only thing that caught me up was that I had to adjust my cables after I was done to get it to go into all the gears. I have daily'd it for almost four years now and I love it.
