Front end crash - Engine idles rough
Howdy.
Long story short, I had a front end crash at idle speeds on my `03 SPI. The truck went over the bumper, bent my rad support and cracked the headlight, grill, etc. For some reason now it idles up and down after a few minutes of running. Could my IAC have been bonked somehow? Anything to get pinched or plugs to be disconnected in front of the exhaust manifold? And the gasket for the emissions tube on the drivers side of the manifold is half missing. No codes showing up. Any thoughts? Thanks |
I would start with what you can see is wrong.... so fix the gasket, and visually check everything. Even a slow speed collision can jar something lose. So fix the exhaust gasket, check the o2 sensor (though to me it seems unlikely that that would be the problem without a code) check all cables and sensors to make sure nothing has come lose....
Sorry about the bad luck. |
Stuff happens. What can you do?
I did all that, but I'll just keep tinkering as much as possible before it gets too cold. Thanks. |
When the Idle changes, does it go up or down from where it normally is?
