tune with what?

Wow those are some fantastic numbers! As far as I know no one can tune that model focus yet. Which surprises me being that the ST just came out and already has tuning support.

Lazy tuners only wanting to crack the ECU for the "big bad ST" not the plain jane MK3 even though if they had focused on being the first to market with a good tune for the N.A. MK3 they could have picked up a lot of sales already instead of pissing off the community by waiting over a year before tuning the ECM/PCM for the ST.

Oh I totally agree with you. They could have easily made money already, look how many 12' & 13' owners are on here wanting a tune already. It's got me thinking they don't want to touch the cars due to the DCT since that would have to be included in the tuning program. If anything they could at least charge a little more for tunes for these model years. I just think it's suspicious for them to already have a tune ready for the ST when they already know there was a market for the other models already. It's BS if you ask me..

A small fraction of the 8000 units (estimated production for the 13 ST afaik) which at $300 each assuming they sold tuners to 100% of the STs is only worth $2,400,000 vs the 240+ k North American MK3s sold to date of which if even 10% wanted a tune that's 24k units. 24k x 300 =$7,200,000 in potential profit/ sales. That assumed only a 10% take rate vs a 100% ST take rate at a presumed production value for the ST vs an estimate of standard cars sold in the U.S. alone in 2012 (excluding the 12's in 2011).

Like I said it's BS lol
