Taurus wheels on a 2012/2013
 

Just an FYI. I mounted a set of 03 Taurus wheels with my snow tires to my 2012 hatch. The Taurus wheels are a good .5 - 1 inch narrower than the Focus wheels. Using a 215/55R16 tire, it looks kinda funny with a bulging sidewall. In a few years when these tires are worn out I'm definitely changing to a 205/60R16.

Good info [thumb] would be a good option for people looking for a second set of wheels for winter, since a skinnier width is more desirable for snow.

I painted the weeks with Duplicolor Wheel Coating. It took about an hour for 3 coats of paint and 3 coats of clear. They came out just ok.

That actually doesn't look too bad! I thought about snagging a set of these for winter.

They look great! I assume you could do the same for a 2013 ST???

Tire Rack shows a 16" wheel fits on an ST. Though I read elsewhere that the ST has larger brakes and only certain 16" wheels fit. I would test fit them before buying the wheels.

Also remeber that these wheels are narrower than the Focus wheels so you need a narrower tire. I wouldnt recommend going above a 205 traead with on these tires. I jaave a 215 on mine, and though they barely fit and it drives fine, it looks kinda goofy with the trad and the sidewall buldging put past the wheel.

Thank you for your reply. There's a couple of sets for sale around town. I might drive over for a test fit if the owners agree.

I guess with a 215 aspect tire instead of a 205, your Speedo should still be accurate. Otherwise you have to deal all winter with an incorrect Speedo.
