Anyone with a carfax account?

Hey guys I thought I had found a vehicle but that ended up not working out. I found another one but the dealer will not give me a car fax on it only the autocheck. The weird thing is that the autocheck doesn't show anything recent.
If it isn't a hassle to someone that has an account I would really appreciate it! I would even send some money by PayPal for your trouble.

To save you the trouble. If the dealer won't give you a carfax with you asking. I'd stay away. Period. I would never buy used from a dealer without a carfax. But that's just me

Yeah it's just weird they attached the first page of the carfax and then then the rest if the pages are the autocheck.

all dealers should have a carfax on any used car on there lot they are selling. I made the dealer i got my focus from pull one up and print it out for me or i said i would not buy car. if they want to sell they will give you one. unless they are trying to cover something up....JMO

Carfax = over-rated.
They don't show everything. If you don't know enough to know if it's a good car, take it into a trusted mechanic and have them look it over.

Is it secure to give your credit card on the website? I probably over worry about that stuff. Wish they had a paypal link!

Definitely look over the car regardless of a carfax report. A friend recently pulled one on a car he's selling and it showed an accident on it...while the car was garaged. Those reports are in no way 100% factual, so just because something isn't on there doesn't mean it didn't happen.

I looked at a used car that had front end collision repair. The CARFAX report did not indicate any collision repair. What led me to be suspicious was the steering wheel not being centered. After close inspection of engine bay revealed new right front fender, new right front headlamp assy, new right front wheel well splash shields etc....
So, I've lost any confidence in CARFAX reports and their accuracy.

Thanks for the responses. After looking at the car further I noticed some condensation in the driver headlight. I'm staying away from it! It just makes me worry too that the dealer won't even send it.
