New E-brake help
Hey guys,
So I got my rear drum to disk break conversion finished up but didn't hook up the new E-brake until today. But after trying to hook up the new e-brake I found out the cable with the threads on it you use to tighten up the cable is too short on the kit I got but the one I had was too long. how did you guys make this work? http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8343/8...b6f4aef7_c.jpg Untitled by DarderSauce, on Flickr http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8069/8...38b0faf5_c.jpg Untitled by DarderSauce, on Flickr |
not sure. only idea i have at the moment is to cut the long one and use a couple cable clamps to shorten it.

lay the two halves over each other so it's the correct lentgth and clamp them together with atleast two of these. hopfully there is enough extra length to do that with. |
Alright so I finally looked at this again and realized what the problem was. Hope it snows again this season so I can "test" the e-brake [cool]

so you were able to get it to fit properly? Glad to hear.

Ya, there is a small hole you need to run the end of the cable through. I figured it was for something but didn't realize it was for the end of the cable [8]
