Who should direct Episode VII?

Simple question... Lets throw out ideas of who might helm the new franchise and which direction it should go... Ideas? Opinions? Areas to debate?

I have no idea what direction the movie will go and who directs it will have a big impact.

In no particular order...

JJ Abrams
Wachowski brothers
Christophen Nolan
Peter Jackson
Joss Whedon

I'm leaning towards more of the sci-fi/action big block-buster movie folks because i feel thats where Disney wants this to go. Although, they will still retain Lucas as some sort of consultant, i dont know if he will have much of an impact on the final product. I'm a big fan of the orginal and wasnt too excited about the most recent trilogy. So not sure how high my hopes are. That and the fact we have to wait 3 years for it.

this movie will probably be an abomination. ^^^Although the above directors could make a fun movie though.

Well add this to the speculation train... possible writer and some directors names thrown out:

http://www.vulture.com/2012/11/star-...ts-writer.html
"We're told that Arndt's 40-something page treatment will soon be crossing the desks of top directors, including Brad Bird, Steven Spielberg (the former producing partner of Lucasfilm co-chair Kathleen Kennedy), and J.J. Abrams."

I wasnt familiar with Bird's name but he directed Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, Ratatouille , and the Incredible's. Also worked on Toy Story 3 and Up. Which I actually liked all of those movies.
