Tune, short throw, dogbone. Makes car better and more fun to drive with just those.
For minimal gains you can get a HFC or an ORP. Exhaust will only get you sound. Exhaust with an ORP will be louder and a bit raspier than with a HFC |
An intake (short ram intake, cold air intake) like the exhaust, is only a noise and aesthetic modification. Dyno results have shown equal gains with just a K&N panel filter in the stock intake housing.
Supercharger will net you 220+ whp and cost in the neighborhood of $1500-$3000. Turbo setup can yield much higher gains, but at the cost of time and money, likely around $3000-$5000. Getting it tuned should be the first mod for any SVT owner, contact Tom (1turbofocus). Also, his three recommendations for performance are tune, ORP, and 67mm throttle body. |
what he said! /\ I just got all three of those and will soon be reaching to Tom for this Tune you speak of!

What's the size of a factory throttle body on a svtf ?
|
65 I believe. A 67 will only make throttle response feel better. No gains
|
Ok well hell what about a tune they were talking about?
|
I thought the stock size on our TB's were 63mm?
<---someone correct this noob |
They could be, I never looked into it. My buddy out a 67mm on his turbo svt and said he felt no difference. So I'm not getting one then
|
Ok my svtf is not boosted or anything would a air/fuel gauge be stupid?
