changing oil without jack .
i can acess the plug and filter without lifting the car at all , im sure its dumb to ask but i dont need to jack it up do i ? i mean itll drain the same either way right
|
If you can get to it comfortably without using a jack, I'm sure it would drain just fine...
|
Yes, that is right. That is what Mr Lube does, all you do is just drive in and they stand under your car and change the oil. So no, no need to jack it up :)

Preferable, if easier than using a jack with your particular car.

If you can fit under the car W/O a jack ...
eat something you skinny bastard. Or lower that 4x4 pronto! But ya. If you can fit, go for it. The filter may be a challenge though. |

I forgot you have a duratec,,, and I didn't know it was on the front until just now when I found this thread --> http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/showthread.php?t=238252
So turns out you don't have to be skinny, just have Orangutang arms. LOL |
I know that song and dance man... The woman with 100 shoes cant understand why I want 4 wheels... *sigh* lol.
It should be fine if you have an oil filter remover adapter for a socket wrench. Those things rock. The drain plug is the thing I see possibly becoming an issue. But, I wouldn't say its anywhere near impossible. If you've got long arms and can put the front tires on a sidewalk or something, it should be easy enough to access. |
