^Exactly. Its like that in most jurisdictions. Makes mutiple "rear enders" (that sounded kinky, no? LOL[histerical]) in traffic somewhat complicated. You're not responsible for being rear ended, but, you ARE responsible for hitting the guy in front, regardless of the cause.... (not suffiencent distance between you and the car in front). Sucks, since, technically, you didn't really do anything wrong (other than not leave enough of a gap in front of your car, but, in heavy traffic, that is next to impossible.. been there, done that)
