2012 ST swap
 

So I have 137xxx miles on my 2000 ZTS engine and tranny, so I'm thinking of a swap for both. I thought that I might try and do that with a 2013 ST engine and tranny (if i can get my hands on those). It is going to be a tough one, but it will for sure be worth it. I just wanted to get some opinions on it. should i go for the new ST? or an older SVT like everybody else? sorry just realized the ST wont be till 2013 so forget the title

It's going to be far far far easier to just buy a ST and drive it than to attempt any swap. Just so you know.

Man, when you jump in, you do it with both feet don't ya. This is a monumental project but if you have the time, money and manpower to do it, then go for it. Since no one has done this that I know of, its going to be difficult getting tips from others. First part of the puzzle is buy a salvaged ST. Get that far and then you will probably have others volunteering to help you. Good luck!

Just make it rwd at put a v8 in it

or just find a ZX4 ST and use that instead... it'll still be an ST swap at least ;)

I would say just go for the new ST. Once you get done with factory parts, custom fabbed parts, and labor, you'd probably be into it for about the same amount of money. Although, it would be very unique, so it has that going for it. lol good luck either way you choose

Buy an ST crate-engine and put it in the backseat powering the rear wheels... it would be epic!
