Where can I find a good priced Cold Air Intake system?

Hey guys,

I have a 2010 Ford Focus Sedan SE and im looking for a cold air intake system to put in my car as it will be my first performance modification of many more to come. I have not seen a lot online, or im not looking in the right place, but the cheapest i can find is from 85-100 bucks. Links would be greatly appreciated if you can find a product below 75 bucks, because there are a ton for other cars on ebay for 40-50 bucks. Thanks :)

1st off [welcome] to FF. 75.00 for a cai or a sri= Have you looked in the Buy & sale section? e-bay 40.-50. cai's= you get what you pay for. A desent one starts at 179.00 for a Focus. Or you could hack one together for 40.-50. Have read the stickies on this forum? Loads & loads of info here. Just take your time & go thru it.

The filters alone are usually $40-$50....

Well the cheapest will be what is known as the "stealth," which is little more than attaching a cone filter to your maf. You can search this section and find more info on that if you like.

Most people will tell you the better two intakes are Steeda's SRI and FSWerks CAI. Again search around here for reviews, both of those are well made and well liked. Like felix said, there are cheaper version out there but the filter's are usually junk and the fit and construction of them are usually low.

If you're find a decent CAI for 40-50, chances are it's been mislabeled from "filter." You gotta pay to play, I'd recommend looking at FSWerks for one of the best CAIs available.

Do the stealth if $ is an issue.. close to the performance your going to get but still below your budget.

cant seem to find it, is there a link to this "stealth" lol :) thanks in advance

I made one for around $40, and that was the cost of an AEM 3" inlet air filter. I've been running it for almost 2 years, changing the filter every 3-5000km (Canada eh). If done right it works flawlessly. If you go the "cheap" route you just need to be careful and do it right, or buy one and don't worry about it :)

I'd say, eBay is the place to go! [:D]
