This is my first thread so don't buy my head off if I'm doing something wrong lol Well I'm looking to build my engine this coming winter. But I have a quick question the boost I'm looking to get out of my svt is something around 15 to 20 psi, I know on stock externals you can go to about 11 safely. All I want to know is will just buying forged pistons and injectors etc suffice or do I need to get forged rods and different bearings.

there are no aftermarket pistons for the SVT rods (the wrist pin locations is different between SVT and non SVT pistons) so if you go aftermarket pistons, you have to go aftermarket rods.

if your compression is good, an excellent tune will allow you 15 psi.

Depending on the turbo and kit you use the SVT Focus can take 280-300 HP to the wheels very easy , whats your power goal ?
