street tires on so alot of squeal and driver error, fun time though

one question, when exiting the corners the back seemed to want to hop outwards any way to reduce the wheel hop?

here are my question whats ur mod list i mean preformance .. as in suspension and power what shocks springs and swaybars are u on ? intake exhaust ?

Mod list is as follows:
fswerks intake
fswerks race exhaust
93 octane tune
steeda short shifter
32 way adjustable ksport coilovers
stock rear sway bar
hankook ventus 205/50/r16

well what i would start with is the coil over find out how high and stiff others set them to get the car balanced too then play with tire pressure and maybe a 22 mm rear sway bar would help with the rear there cheap and i hear great with the stock front bar ..

I try to set up my Focus to rotate, why do you want to change that?
is it literally "hopping" like skipping a rock? could be your sidewalls.

Its tough to tell from you description. It could be over driving and tires rolling over, or bottoming out the rear suspension causing the hopping feeling. Thats the only think I can think of at corner exit.

I wanna take my 08 out, what class did they put you in?

I'm guessing STF from the looks of his mods.

looks like fun! sorry to thread jack, but question for ya. did you go with the kontrol pro coilovers? the 06-07 ones? did those bolt up just fine or any issues with the install? also were they the new design (black and orange)? i'm looking to get those for mine, but would like to talk to someone that already has them first.

Hmm, I would like to know what the stiffness levels you went with all around.

A member in our area drove his 08 focus in AutoX with me one day and he was having all kinds of issues as well.
The difference is that you have a tune for better controlling the traction control. Which he hated for AutoX.
But his car was also hoping. What I helped him with to get some of the hop out was adjust the stiffness of the shocks all around. we just softened the setup here and there and it helped some.

Some of the other fellow autoX'ers around us also noted that his tires could have been a factor as well for the hopping.

I guess we all here need a bit more information.
