3500-4000 give or take. Part it out and sell it stock.

In the title, you spelled wife wrong.

I dont suppose you can convince her that the 4 grand you'd get by selling it wouldnt be a worthwhile downpayment on a "family car"? I mean, if you're really lucky, you may be able to get 5k out of it... and if there's nothing wrong with the car now, that's worth keeping in and of its self, i would think... Good luck man, I hope your wife re-considers.

Maybe she could sell some shoes to help with a down payment? I mean, relationships are all about compromise... [paranoid]

lol i wish i spelled wife wrong sometimes!
i would be happy with 5k im sure ill have to sit on the car for a while if i do that. i dont really need the money for a down payment i really just thinks she wants it gone because i love it but thats might just be me thinking to much

List it for sale for a ridiculous amount knowing it will never sell at that price, thus satisfying the desire to sell (she) and the desire to keep (you).
