30,000 mile Brake Service?

Wanted to get your thoughts...

Called my dealership and asked about any reccomended 1yr/30k mile service. One of the things they mentioned that they were going to do was take apart the calipers and clean them out to ensure that they lasted for a long time.

Is this a legitimate service to perform around 30k miles? Or are they essentially trying to get me to buy a "blinker fluid flush" (take me as a fool).

Thanks in advance!

If you have money burning a hole in your pocket I guess you could do it, otherwise have that service done when you do your next brake job. If they're currently in good shape, it can wait until then.

I definitely don't have money burning a hole in my pocket haha. Thanks for the input!

Only an idiot would take apart a non leaking caliper. Even if it's Ford.

If the car has no braking issues then there is no need for 30K service at all in my view.

That kinda how I thought. Just wanted to verify that I wasn't just being young and naive. I'm a rather amateur mechanic.

Thanks for input again guys!
