Throttle body question
 

I want to know if there could be different throttle bodies that might fit a Focus 2008 se automatic. The part I need is 8s4e-ad but I can'e seem to find an exact match (I have found different part codes that are supposed to fit my car model). Would anyone know if I'm fine buying a throttle body with a different code from the exact one in my car?

We actually have a drive by wire throttle body. So we can't just use any throttle body from whatever, because it is electronically controlled. May I ask, why you wanted to replace the throttle body?

Dear Minchkin, thanks for your reply. I bouth a crashed Focus in NY and shipped it to Guatemala (where I live). My car's throttle body was broken http://http://paginas.ufm.edu/gandal...ardgandara.jpg so I have to replace it for my car to work. I can't buy the part here because the dealership don't sells it, which is why I have to buy it online. I wonder if I a different throttle body (maybe for a more recient Focus) will fully function in my car. Thank you very much for your help!

Any TB from an 08-11 should work just fine. You can inquire with Tousley Ford or a few auto part stores in the area, although because you aren't in America, you are going to be hit with a bit of a shipping charge.
