Are BRP rear strut bars still available??

Who even made BRP strut bars anyway? I searched google and I didn't get a lot of info.

They're the bars that would bolt directly to the top of the rear struts, not on the towers.

I have no idea as far as who made them. Wouldn't you think if you are trying to stiffen the rear shock tower's, wouldn't you want the towers tied together than the top of the shock's going thru a heavy corner & dealing w/ the force going thru the bushing's whether poly or not? It might be a little more hasell to install, but then it'd be stiffer.

Yeah, you're right. I already have a bar going between the strut towers in back, but since I have the Focus Central coilovers (coils directly on the rear struts), I wanted to try something different. A lot of stress goes to the tops of the strut towers.

My plan was to get one of those BRP bars, and then have cross members welded and then bolted to the strut towers.

That way I'd have the strut towers linked, AND the tops of the strut towers linked.

It's not urgent, I'm not noticing anything wrong. Just something I've been thinking about and would be a neat little project.

Thats cool that you have the focus central rear kit. You do have the rear arms w/ the sway bar mount, huh? Just to add having the two tied together, the strut's & tower's, you better have a desent set of poly bushings for the top strut mount's. The added stress of the strut & coil in the tower, which I don't think is a issue, & the two= strut & towers tied like you want & a desent corner will add more stress to the top bushing. I'd add a Steeda 1.125'' bar w/ your F/C lower arms. That'd make a bigger difference. It'll really make your car rotate. Add a torsen & then see the difference.

I currently have the stock control arms with an Eibach 25mm bar.

As of right now, everything is mounted securely although maybe I can try to find some poly urethane washers or bushings as you mentioned.

I really thought of getting the Steeda bar but one of my control arms is non SVT specific. I'm thinking the previous owner had an issue and replaced it with a standard one. So I need to fix that before I get a big bar like the Steeda.

So yeah, that's the plan. There are enough online steel vendors that I can get the pieces I need at the right lengths to make this custom rear strut bar.

Have thought of getting a set of Dom's tubular arm's? Or can you get or make up a set of rear arm's w/ hiem joint's?

Yeah I thought of that and that might happen down the road. But at 400-500 a set, I'll take care of some other stuff first.
