Remove door panel

hey guys, I have a 2000 focus with manual windows, and I was curious as to if I have to remove the crank to remove the door panel. I've read the how to on this, but it doesn'y specify if I need to remove the crank. thanks!

You can use a hooked pick to catch one of the ends and pull it back. Its not hard just takes a coupe tries.

The hooked pick works best. But if you don't have one you can always use a shop towel/rag just as easily. Run the towel between the door panel and window crank. Then move the towel up and down and it will eventually catch the clip. Once the clip is disengaged, be sure to keep the clip. Usually after removing the clip I will pull the crank off and then instantly put the clip back on it. When you go to put the crank back on the clip will expand and then lock into place as you slide the crank back onto the post.

Was able to use a wire hanger to finally do it, but now its super easy. Thanks g[:)]uys!
