Timing Chain
 

At what point should I be concered about changing my timing chain? I have close to 200K miles on a 2006 focus zx3 2.0 se.

Id say150,000 is kinda what ive heard. Looks like ur a little over no biggy.

so while circling the globe 50 times how did you keep the Ocean out of the carb? lol

lol, I drive 180miles a day for work. But since these cars dont have carbs and the handbook mentions no change for service. I would assume that its time for a change??

I have heard 75k miles when you beat on them to 150k when you drive like a granny...
If it feels ok just inspect it.

You dont happen to live or work near schrock/cleveland ave do you? I see a dark toreador red zx3 a few times a week on my drive to work and there arent too many of us...(at least thats what i think you mean by "Tredour Red ZX3 SE") [;)]

The chain guilds need replaced w/ the chain.

I live in Grove City, I have been in the area a few times. I have dark tinted windows.

Ok another question. Is the D2.0 an interfenence engine?

I beleive ours our interference when I checked a year ago.

I always seem to find that cars with belts are non-int, cars with chains are interference. :/
