Meet my Galaxie!

Hi, I'm here to show you my '64 Ford Galaxie 500 Sedan. I'm fixing the few body/paint details on it. Will post pics of it as soon as I get it back from the body shop.

The history of this car: The car was bought brand new when my grandparents got married back in 1964 by my grandmother's brother. After the wedding, he decided to give it to my aunt and she drove it until '95. She stored it in her garage, and when I was 16 (back in '06), I looked at the car and I said to her "that's a nice car!" just as a comment. Then she replied "do you want it?" so it became mine since then. I mean, who could say no? A few months later I brought it back home, because I didn't know if the engine was working. After that, my mechanic just made a tune-up and the car worked after 12 years of being stored. Then I polished the whole car, so that's all I had to do it to make it look as it is today.

Details about the car: It's a one-owner family-kept car with only 42K miles on the odometer. Everything you see on the car is original (paint, upholstery, radio, engine... I even have the original owner's manual and keys). It has a 223cid inline-six engine (3.7L) and a 3-speed manual transmission.

That's Cali for you I guess...you rarely see anything from that era in good shape around here. Assuming it's not a Mustang or Camaro.

OK I'll take pics of the engine and interior today, will post pics tomorrow, thanks for looking! I also have the original hubcaps, I forgot to install them before taking the pics...

My dad had a white one, green leather interior. 99% stock and a couple tiny rust spots.
You could stand in the engine bay to fix it.
I got to cruse it a couple times before he sold it.

Beautiful man... Classic fords rock! My parents have a 57 wagon that's pretty cool, and a sweet bronco. I love the old stuff! The Galaxie and Falcon are two of my favorites.
