Item Description: New set EMPI axles for an MTX-75 equipped Zetec. May fit others but I'm not sure. These are a higher quality axle than your standard issue AutoZone units. Great fit and performance.

is it any better that factory?

The axle itself is solid (like factory), but thicker. I can't comment on the CV portion though- never looked at the inside of them. I will say that I've used this brand on my other Focus as well as a few other cars. I've had, by far, the best luck with these compared to any of the other parts stores brands.

Why could you not have SVT axles!!

The MTX Axles will NOT fit in Getrag SVT transmissions. It's been tried on my buddy's SVT.

He got MTX axles and the splines are a slightly different pattern and do not fit in.

EMPI Sells the SVT axles on Rockauto, I have them in my SVT, work like a charm and really not that expensive. :-)

These should fit Duratec as well, same trans.

I have an EMPI on my passenger side, 10K miles and no problems or concerns yet. Seems to be a solid product.
