Can I put turbo in my stock 2001 zx 3

The title pretty much says it all but my main question is I bought my car from a friend and it's been to the moon and back it has just a little more than 225,000 miles I would really like to install turbo on it but I'm fairly new to all this and I would like to know if because of my mileage being so high would my engine be able to take the? pressure without blowing the engine? And if my car can handle turbo what kind of PSI. Do you know that would be safe without blowing my engine thank you for your help.

most stock cars can handle up to around 10 PSI with out internal damages assuming everything is healthy. I would do a few tests (compression test, oil analysis) and go from there. I would start out at 5 PSI and go up from there after getting use to everything. There is a Turbo/Forced Induction Section which if you have time to browse will help loads in your quest for more power.

You could do a compression test to see how strong the motor still is.

You could also rebuild the engine to make it super strong for a turbo and crank up the psi.

Awesome thanks guys very much appreciated I mean the car really needs a overall BAD and once I get around to that I'm going to put more then just stock replacement parts. I but I'll check out that section! I'm just wondering is there a setting on the turbo or is but the actual turbo that pushes out 5 or 10 PSI?

Not to be mean but if your asking that question you may need to do a lot more research on turbo's and the install of them on the Focus.

You control the amount of boost through a valve (Wastegate) which relieves the extra boost the turbo makes over what you want (can be mechanical or have a digital boost controller). Ideally you want a turbo for what psi you will be using (don't get a turbo that can do 40psi on the Zetec if your goal is 10).
