Ralliman's SVT!

I've had the car for a couple of months now, and while most of the work I've done has been internal and/or maintenance, I've refinished the headlights and played around a bit with Plastidip (lip, grill, and wheels). This car--and this community--have reminded me how much fun working on my car really is. It's becoming quite a hobby!

I like the hood scoop, is it functional?

Sadly, no. One of the numerous mods I inherited when I bought the car, it looks like a Saleen knock-off. I've considered using a Dremel to actually make a functional scoop out of it, but if you look closely at the second pic, you can see that it isn't fully seated at the front. I'll probably leave it as it is until I can score a new hood.

Or just take the scoop off. Is it's hooked on there really hard?

Your car looks great. Except for the scoop (and maybe taillights), everything looks very clean.

Thanks! I haven't figured out how the scoop is fastened yet, but it's in the plans. I just don't know how long it's been there, so I'm not sure how much difference there could be in the paint under it. The tail lights are another point of contention; I think they look great on their own (they're in great shape), but they don't jive with a red-and-black style, so I'm looking into a second set of housings to Niteshade.

It's about 20-30 minutes due north of Charlotte.

That red looks to be in great shape. How easy is the plastidip? And how much? Looks good man.

It's got some small dings and scratches that I'd like to touch up, but I haven't been able to find the paint color locally. Will I have to hit a dealership for it? The Plastidip is super easy, IMO. I paid about $6/can at Lowe's for the black.
