Another custom exhaust coming soon
 

Well thanks to our wonderful and pioneering member meattooth (who scanned a full Magnaflow exhaust and produced his own mandrel bent 2.5" piping), I have 2.5" pipe which should be here today, plus two resonators and a muffler which should be here tomorrow.

I may not get to it this weekend, but if not, it will be by next weekend.

My father and I will be welding it in ourselves in our shop.

Dyno plans?

I'll take pics and even a video (hopefully a GoPro attached to the bumper).

No dyno plans yet. Nothing near. But I am going to some NMRA meets late in the summer and may dyno then.

Yes, I usually live paycheck to paycheck, so this had to be pieced together after selling some stuff.

I will come in at under $300 for a full 2.5" cat-back exhaust.

I got the stuff from their eBay store, which was even cheaper.

As it should be. The magnaflow catback on my mustang,(2 intermediate pipes, 2 mufflers, 2 tailpipes, and 2 3.5" tips) only cost me $330 5 years ago. Same kit runs about $550 now. Why on earth are the simple focus kits so expensive? I can't see paying over $300 for a single exhaust setup for any car.

Yeah exhaust stuff is expensive... I've always joked about putting a cheap piece of pipe in and after a few bends its now worth 400.00. lol someone has to pay for the machine right? Motorcycle exhaust has always blown me away with their crazy pricing. [scream]

Looking forward to hearing the jones mufflers and see how they compare to the more expensive magnaflow.

The piping is in! My muffler and resonators should be as well. Can't wait to get home.
