Focus 2012 +12V Ignition Help!!!

Please help, I have my radio all taken apart and I am spinning my tail here.

I am going nuts. I am trying to install that Bluetooth add on I was telling you about and I cannot find a switched 12V to save my life.
I found the wiring diagrams for the 2012 stereo but the powering color do not match mine. I have finally located the 12V+ continuous and the ground but I understand the stereo does not have a ignition 12+ because it does the switching via signal.

So where can I find a ignition 12V+ wire close to the radio and what color would that be?

Thank you much guys!

Ended up using the yellow orange wire in the raio harness. I believe it's for the powered antenna but it worked for what I needed as well.
Pretty happy just about now... and sweaty as well :)

what stereo do you have?

6 speaker sync? 4speaker se? mft? sony 10speaker?

I ask because I need a 12v switched power supply also

you are correct in that there is no acc wire in the harness. it's all data now to control everything. be careful with the wire you did use as it's not designed for added power like that. you could use a relay on it and get power from the constant wire. or a better option would be to run it to a wire in the fuse box or ignition switch.

Fuse 85 in the passenger footwell fuse box is switched on/off with the IGN power. I used a fuse tap on this fuse to power the remote in lines on both my amp and my computer power supply.

Just know that if you use this fuse, the power turns off when you turn off the car. This means that the music will cut out as soon as you turn off the car, not continue playing until you open the door like it does now.

Also, this means that you will have to have the car running to use the radio, as it is IGN switched, not ACC switched.

I would have preferred to use an ACC switched power source, but I all of the ones that I could find were like the 12v car outlets in that they did not actually turn off until ~10 mins after the car was turned off. I decided I did not want the extra strain on my battery by having my amps, etc. run off of battery for 10 mins after the car is "off".

Good luck! Let me know if you have any questions.

There must be an accessory 12v wire in the ignition harness right?

Not necessarily. A lot of these new cars use the CAN bus for ACC signaling.

That said, I don't know if that's true for ours or not.

Does anyone know for sure? I believe the 2012 Fiesta does??? I need a remote turn on source for an aftermarket amp.

I read somewhere online that this works with the 2012 Focus, and it was bundled with the Metra dash kit I bought, so I'm inclined to believe it will work. I'll let you know once I get my dash kit and new head unit installed.

No switched 12v is stupid. Has this been solved yet? What about the engine bay harnesses? If nothing else, I'll probably just go with the ACC and let it stay on for 10 minutes every time.

I'm planning to buy one of these, and I don't like quiet stereos.
