FC or FS RACE HEADER??

Ok like many people on here, i can not decide if am going to get the Focus central Race Header or the Focus Sport race header. The FC header is $360 plus the offroad pipe for $130 making $490. The Focus Sport race header is $390 plus the extension pipe flex joint for $110 and the combo for both is $475.

FOCUS SPORT HEADER AND EXTENSION PIPE: $475
FOCUS CENTRAL HEADER AND OFFROAD PIPE: $490

Should I maybe combine the focus sport header with the bosal flex or the focus central offroad pipe? I have heard the focus sport header has a lot of trouble hooking up to other flex pipes (not direct fit?). I do not care about any emissions as you can probably tell from the race header topic. The Focus Sport does seem to put up some great numbers (dynoed on focus sport.com) but i heard the focus sport X pipe is not necessary. I want to eliminate that cat too. Just tell me what you think i should do......

the fc orp wont fit the fs race header.

ORP is only if you use a shorty header or the exhaust manifold. if you get a race header all you need is the flex pipe.

FC has a better power curve for the daily driver. good tq

I would say FC

FC header all the way with flex pipe.

fc, newest generation is a very quality pc.

both headers put about the same power down. one of the best modifications to do.

so the offroad pipe is so to speak my "Flex" ? And this will eliminate the cat?

off road pipe would be connected to the original exhaust manifold or shorty header, its before the flex-pipe section. yes an ORP would eliminate the cat, but surely would not had the same power

No, the offroad pipe is the cat eliminator pipe. The flexpipe stays.

The race header replaces the stock manifold "header" and the cat, the flexpipe then goes between the race header and the catback exhaust.

Here's an image of your stock cat, flexpipe and exhaust. Might help. it's from the myFordFocus.com How-To Library for installing a catback, see http://www.myfordfocus.com/how-to/cat-back.htm

Obviously disregard the "cut here" part of that image, it's meant to demonstrate how to remove the stock catback [;)]

I'm only posting the image so you can see where the stock cat and flexpipe are...

Hope that helps.
