First irwindale drag strip and now Fontana drag strip is closed
So this is just plain crap, I assume a spike in street racing until they reopen either of the two tracks, oh I also heard that qualcom drags may be closed too if a pending court order goes through.

Why the hell do people complain about noise from a track? You moved there knowing there is a track. Did you think it was going to be quiet? Shut the f@*k up!!! I'm sick of hearing this environmental impact crap to. The environment is perfectly fine.

Oh don't forget to shut down the rail line that's next to the strip and the steel mill as well

Here is a link to a online petition to keep the track open

I plan to also show up to the hearing and personally protest that not having a track open will lead to more street racing and possible tragedy

make sure when you go bring statistics showing where having a track significantly changed the street racing activity and the injuries that occured during those activites. Use San Diego as an example of before and after. This is off the website on the race legal that they set up "The results are impressive. Year 2003 data show a 99% reduction in organized illegal street racing activity in San Diego and a 79% improvement in illegal street racing involved crash mortality/morbidity. Year 2004 produced a 55% improvement in illegal street racing crash involved death and injury. Year 2005 has produced a remarkable 94 % improvement in illegal street racing related mortality/morbidity when compared to the baseline year of 2002. "
