If this don't ruffle your feathers...

...I don't know what will. I let you read the story, but you won't like it.

That is quite shocking.

It's just New Jersey, who cares. What bothers me is right now the news (NBC) is saying they are working to tie the prescriptions to the doctors and pharmacists. HOW ABOUT BLAMING THE PERSON FOR ABUSING DRUGS?? They are the one that go to multiple doctors and pharmacies, get overprescribed and take more than prescribed. And I speak from experience, my ex was addicted to painkillers and extremely unpredictable and violent.

A lot of people do. I know it's just NJ and I heard somewhere that it may just the NJ state flag that get flown at half mast. What bothers me is that they are mocking the meaning behind flying flags at half mast. They should find some other way to "honor" their drug addict celebreties, but don't belittle the half mast.

Point taken. I was joking about NJ, but you're right, half mast is for heroes.

This has been all over Facebook, and as hard as I try to be mad, shocked, etc.. I'm not.

I'm just annoyed. Nothing this country's government does (be it state or federal) surprises me anymore. Most in our gov't don't understand the sacrifices us men and women in uniform make. And that's largely in part to the fact that most people in our gov't have never served a day in their life. So how could they understand? All those people know is what they see on tv, and well.. what they see on tv is a 30 second blip about another soldier being killed in Iraq or Afghanistan. And immediately following that, a 10 minute block of coverage for a celebrity who died. And after that? More and more coverage for said celebrity that lasts weeks, if not months. This country as a whole is [:)][:)][:)][:)][:)][:)] up. And the shit that takes place no longer surprises me. I lost all hope after the Senate or House or whoever it was shot down the bill to give free healthcare to the 9/11 relief workers. That's when I said [:)][:)][:)][:)] it.

Our country will burn one day.. and who will we have to thank for it? Ourselves.

Not surprised at all, especially from New Jersey.

Does it suck? Yes. Can anything be done about it? Doubtful...I've lost all faith in the average American lately.

leh0825 02-15-2012 11:36 PM

that is complete and udder bull.....

CJohn364 02-16-2012 04:28 AM

The wierd thing is that in a different article the Gov said that he was doing it because she was a "daughter of New Jersey" and for the fallen heroes for that week, or month, I can't remember which. That just pissed me off even more because now he's really making a true mockery of it.

I realize that nothing can be done about it and NJ will still fly the flags and half staff, but it's still infuriating. [facepalm]

mikebontoft 02-16-2012 05:12 AM

there is a reason why I hardly ever watch the news now... if its not a celebrity its the next murder case...

How bout some real news please?

Like I said before its absolutely ridiculous.
