my exhaust is finally here
 

1st thing i have to say is im pretty impressed with trubendz... i wasnt expecting shipping this fast and/or such a good quality exhaust. Also this is the first exhaust system i actually buy... because all my past exhaust system have been custom made by me or by my trusted exhaust shop back home in puerto rico. Due the the circumstances of me living in an apartment complex that gets anal even about putting windshield fluid in my car while in the parking lot and me being new here in houston,tx and not knowing any good exhaust places or having connections i just had to order it. $255 + $30 shipped for this is prob the best deal too. A local exhaust shop would of charged just that for a poorly made crushed bent system or twice maybe tripple for a mandrel system made by them and would of taken all day.

and i do have an ORP so this is going to be really loud. my bro has the same set up on his zx3 = 4-2-1 header no cat, 2.5'' catback with a mangaflow muffer and its pretty loud. I know the svt sounds a tiny but diff than a regular zx3 but it should be similar

Im telling you right now....your not gonna like it. It will sound like a pissed off bumble bee and I don't mean like a CAMARO. I suggest buying a resonator and welding it before the main muffler. It will cure much of the drone and bumble bee noise. I made the same mistake with my borla muffler...it sounded like a race car but you gotta drive that race car as daily lol. Gave me a headace.

Just my opinion.
Let me know if you need help finding a resonator. I have a 22" body resonator 28" as a whole Magnaflow(10436) and it made it so nice. Still loud but no nasty noises. Even the smallest Magnaflow resonator will get rid of the rasp and help the drone.

Magnaflow 10416 - 14" body>>20" whole. Smallest one
Magnaflow 10426 - 18" body>>24" whole. Mid
Magnaflow 10436 - 22" body>>28" whole. Biggest

On amazon.com they have all these for cheap. A shop will charge you triple for one.

^ i was thinking of that. adding a res and making it a "stealth like" system. I want to try and get the roundest in there. prob a 5'' round? and im guessing a 18'' long.

100% agree with this statement. I am a huge advocate of magnaflow exhaust products, but with only a resonator you are going to get droned out to hell, I went with their resonated and mufflered (is that a word?) setup. My SVT is quiet enough for a long trip on the e-way, and gets nice and loud when I put my foot down. I need to make an exhaust clip when I get home from my business trip.

Resonators I posted are all round and fit very well under the car with plenty of room.

With a small resonator it wont kill much noise....it will just clean it up
