Sandblast Rally 2012

Ladies and Gentleman,

The next running of Sandblast Rally is scheduled for Saturday February 4, 2012. Based in Cheraw, SC there are currently over 25 cars and 20 rally moto bikes entered! It's looking to be one of the best Sandblast Rallies ever. It's our own little Dakar!!!!!!

The very best way to get up close and personal with the action is to volunteer to help run the event. Course marshals are stationed along the rally stages to help keep the roads closed for the race and you're right next to the action. Often in better locations than the official spectator locations! Plus you get the undying gratitude of us competitors and get to party into the night after the rally is done.

Please come volunteer! To learn more and sign up check out this link.

http://sandblastrally.linaracing.com...te-account.php - you can indicate your preferences and skill levels - everyone is qualified - no special skills needed for most positions.

We hope to see you out there!

I will be doing online timing support for this event even though I am no where near the race! I love helping out with rallies. it's the best way to get started.

It was good talking to Andy , Simon & Son and Mike , the Cosworth Escort was a beast , had a great time

This doesnt seem to be a spectators sport LOL you get to see each car about 20 sec at a good spot and you run around all day doing that , still had a great time just seeing everyone

I had a great time working crew for Frick, we took 4th overall and were the fastest 2wd car. Car was well sorted, but lost the power steering towards the end.

I agree the cosworth was a beast, and it was cool to see such a machine in person.

It's true rally is tough to appeal as a spectator sport. When I spectate, I view it as a chance to go drink in the woods and watch cars go by.
