Anyone try the Federal SS595's yet??
I picked up a Mini Cooper S a few weeks ago and of course (as most of you know) I cant leave anything stock.....lol
I've already bought tires and wheels for it, did a little modding under the hood and exhaust, and coilovers are soon to follow (car just sets too high and doesnt feel as solid on the road as I think it should) I chose the 595's because I've read really good reviews on other forums but i wanted to know if any of you guys have tried them. |
i tried them. they were ok. didnt last very long...

I haven't tried them, and I haven't seen anyone that was competitive run them on an autox. I'll stand by my RS-3s as a top street tire right now.

Looking at the website, the 595EVO tires look like they may be better... I'm not a fan of long v type patterns in my tread. I have some crappy riken raptors right now as my DD tires, and they feel all sorts of squirmy under high cornering.

I used to work at a tire shop before my current job. Nothing made by federal lasted very long. We warrantied several bc of separation

The 595 RS-R is the Federal "ST" type autocross tire.

I had em on my car for almost a year now. I love em.
