My "speed-taped" SVT in the gray of PA winter

In January in Pennsylvania, this is about as good as the lighting gets.
My recent purchase: a rust-free 2002 SVT. Notice the fancy "racer's tape" on the front bumper cover (just below the missing Ford emblem, lol). Previous owner said that a truck backed into the car. Whatever. It will be fixed eventually, but there is no point in making it a priority--especially when I need to do motor mounts and struts first.

P.S. The building in the background is the family business, Playthings Etc, the world's coolest toy store. Yeah, I'm biased, but it is pretty darn cool.

nice car and that's a cool building design.

Congrats on the purchase, how many miles? I'd call up Tousley or Hilbish Ford for the parts you are looking for, they tend to have the best prices, even if you have to have them shipped.

Thanks for the tip. The car has 158K, which is high, but a rust-free 2002 ANYTHING is like gold in PA, haha.

Congrats on the new-ish car and welcome to the site. I (and probably everyone else here) agree with your priorities, get the mechanical stuff correct before you worry about cosmetics. Now what is that squiggly thing below the mirror on the fender? It kind of looks like an old Cobra emblem, although I'm sure I'm wrong about that.

I hope the timing belt (and tensioners and pulleys) have been changed at least once in its life. Rust free is a huge bonus, congrats, and welcome!

Nice congrats on the pickup

Welcome, rust free is nice thing to have. Yeah take the worms off the fenders, it's a flame fest when they get put on a V6 or GT on Mustang forums.

Yeah, Cobra emblems on both fenders, which I got a chuckle out of. Those will be coming off as soon as I have the spare time. Previous owner did that. I have a good friend who worked for several years as a Ford tech. You should have seen his reaction. I thought he was going to be ill.
