2003 svt
 

I know it's alot to ask but, if anyone happens to be close to Helfman Ford in Houston could you inspect a 2003 black svt Focus they have. I've put down $500 on it for them to hold it for me until New Year's eve. I'm going to drive the 7 hours down there to look at it and hopefully buy it. My only concern was rust since it was so close to the coast. It's a 1 owner with only 66k miles. I was going to get it this weekend but they're replacing the thermostat housing and it's not going to be ready until Tuesday or Wednesday. I plan on going to get it on New Year's eve now.

I honestly dont think u will have a problem with rust. I got my car in 07 and its an 03 and no rust. Just depends on how well the owner took care of the paint but im sure theres no rust.

Mines a 2000 zx3 and not a spot of rust anywhere and has been here its entire life. Hopefully the svt is the same.

just got a 2003 svt like 3-4 weeks ago... no rust at all... is the $500 refundable? prob not... i would never do that with out actually seeing the car 1st...

its like 20 min out of my way... theyre prob closed tom? i can try tuesday before work

The $500 is refundable and they are open Monday. I've seen alot of pics. I was hoping someone would check it out for me and I could just have it shipped up here if it looked good. i hope it works out. i drove 8.5 one way to get one of my foci. hope a few members can look it over. also find a few tire or oil change shops. they would get it on a rack to do a free inspection..
