Is it worth me sharing this? (Moates)
I've started playing with the QuarterHorse and Binary Editor. I have to go through by hand to find singular changes to the binary data to find the location of what I'm changing, eg: MTF, Ignition Timing, etc.
Then, and this is the part I don't know how to do yet, I have to build a map and turn that map into a 'definition file' (.DEF) that BE can use to edit the .BIN in realtime.
At current I am reading .bin's as I adjust 1 thing at a time.
My ECU code is ZYF5 and my calibration code is KRAF4. This means if you have both those then my work will work for your car just as it works in mine.
... comparing my KRAF4 to a KRAF5, it looks like the KRAF5 has more data but the structure/location for the most part looks to be the same, or similar enough that it wouldn't take much work to modify a .DEF to work.
I am not going to share anything if no one else has a QH they can play with or are unwilling to buy and try. (Basically there are about 5 people on the site who might find this useful I know of, I'm looking to see if there's more that I don't know about.)
