Who's buying the new ST?

So who's buying the ST when it's finally released. Or are you just going to wait to buy it the next model year?

It's a little hard to answer considering we don't enough final details about the car, pricing, or when it will be available.

I want one, but probably not when they first come out.

I would like to, but it will all depend on my wants and needs when my focus bites the dust..

I just ordered the 2012 Titanium. I got that model because my wife and I are having a baby and i wanted a 4 door focus but with good gas milage.

I plan on buying it as soon as it hits the street! I'm going to need a new one anyway. My '04 SVT hit 216,000 miles on the way in to work tonight.

Need more information, my SE didn't have much competition from other 5 door hatches, other than the Mazda 3s it beats all for acceleration. The ST will be up against some real competitors, depending on the price it may not be a great value. If it's too close to Mustang GT money, or can't beat a V6 then it will be a tough sell. Hopefully they offer a base ST without the PowerShift or MFT for less than $25k, that would let it compete with the MS3 and GTI.

I'm getting conflicting reports here in the early stages.

"The four-cylinder engine which produces 247 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque is mated exclusively to a six-speed manual transmission."

"Our eyes tell us that this car will deliver the power via a six-speed manual transmission, though it's possible Ford could offer its PowerShift dual-clutch automatic as well."

Absolute truth about life # 1. The news media will get ten things wrong for everyone one thing it gets right. The fact of the matter is we will know about the automatic when the car shows up on Fords website with a "build your own" feature.

I would love to have one, just can't convince myself to get a four door ride...............ugh.
