throttle body upgrade
 
so im looking into puttin a bigger throttle body but i dont know what the difference in a 65mm an 67mm i also want to put a cold air intake an throttle body spacer with this upgrade let me know if its an all around good idea or not an what i size i should do

Save your money. No real gains are had from either.

With the SVT a good tune is about the best bang for the buck.

Go with a a67 tb ull get better throttle response. And don't go with a cold air intake if you live where you get any real amount of rain the filter it to low even with a wrap and ull suck in water and kill ur tps or worst case hydo lock ur engine ur best bet it build one or if u must a short ram with heat shield

Okay sweet thanks guys so ill look into it more but I do live in Seattle Washington area so that was a good thing to know but does anyone know a good place to get a tune

i dont know why TB spacers are sold for our cars....with the IM runner length as long as it is, tq is already about as good as it can get down low (longer runners = low end tq).

k&n panel filter ($50) plus a $400 tune is about as good as it gets. TB is useful if you want some more throttle response.

The stock Svt TB is 66mm. The only reason im using a cfm 67mm is the ratio it opens is different and I perfer metal over plastic any day. Ur not going to see hp from it.

Okay so since I live in a rainy area would it be a good idea yo to just get an arm short ram intake with a heat shield

CFM says "3-5whp gain and a much more responsive throttle feel". I have heard nothing but good reviews on them. I cant say I have tried one because I have not.

As for the AEM CAI, get the bypass filter so "Hydro lock" chances are reduced to a minimum. If your engine fails to "Hydro lock", Honda's wont be on the menu.
Try out the K&N Typhoon, I love mine, it keeps the stock snorkel to bring in fresh cool air to feed the filter. The Typhoon also has a heat shield. K&N Says it is a CAI due to the fact that the snorkel brings fresh air to the filter and its by the fender. I would not go as far as saying its a "TRUE CAI" but it dose have a good design to keep cool air flowing to it.
