Ok so it all starts at the local drag strip when one of my friends other friend calls me and my buddy "ricers" b/c we drive focus' but this man doesn't drive anything but supposedlly is gettin a jdm'd out civic hatch with a jdm b16 i dunno if there is a such thing or if it makes a diff but this is just what he said.....well i told him when he got it to step it up. So about 2 months later he acctually pulls up in the thing. At first i didn't know what to do but after him runnin his mouth for a lil bit i had decided, race. SO we go to the local spot and go at it 1st gear i pull....BAD 2nd i think he might have a chance but we get a lil closer to red line pull again.....3rd i just hit the brakes.....no need to embarass him this bad just a waste of my gas. So after winning and feelin good i decide to take a stroll through town, see some wicked sweet hot girls try to show off passing 2 cars in the opposing lane of traffic and boom....there he was, a cop writin someone else a ticket. Needless to say I am going to be indoors for quite sometime, under the fist of father, but all and all, as soon as i get back out. I'm looking for the "jdm king". Just to rub it in.

there is such a thing as a jdm b16, jdm= japanese domestic market, cars that we had here that suck werent at all the same in japan examples, the type r in japan had 220(200 here),crx had 160(109 here), prelude had 220(200 here) and even when we had del sols with 160hp b16's the b161 g2 in jdm spec was 170hp.

Now nobody here is probably a bigger jdm guy than myself when i had my crx i was all about jdm, i.e I learned to drive with only kmp/h because my speedo didnt even read out in mph... i was too jdm for that! damn thats lame[8] This guy might be bsing or he might not be good at driving if we believe hes got a jdm b16 in a civic hatch hed prolly have the 170hp because putting an SiR I into a civic hatch would be a ridiculous amount of work with OBD so hed had the 2nd gen with 170 hp and i believe 116 or 118 lbs of tq and almost undoubtedle hed have some other stuff because you cant use a stock exhaust or intake etc. adn with that weight on a civic hatch(im guessing its like a cx or dx) if he could drive he should be able to pull at the very least a 15flat

c if he did have the B16then he would of maybe cought up if those japanneessee motors would have moore torque but most of them dont ,except the ls or ls V.cuz my freind has an LS V,on his 95 integra man that shit just take off!but with a liitlle work i will come up on top!jerbo y did u end up getting an american car if u had a japaneese car?

if you didnt even give one another a chance to pull in third then i cant agree you won. He may have had a bad takeoff and when you hit third and slowed down he probably was getting ready to do some damage....or not. dunno

I agree if this guy really had a b16 but messed up a launch he shoulda pulled hard in 3rd/4th but as for why i now own american after japanese, am i not allowed to? doesnt seem like big deal to me, not that im against american cars but its my money and i spend it how i see fit, and after having a total project car that was all aftermarket, it was wrecked, i couldnt afford to start another, nor did i have desire to start having to deal with all the little problems that inevitably come from project cars when it wasnt and still isnt a luxury i can afford, i.e space or money for a 2nd vehicle

the crx was the only one that got screwed then, all the "honda guys" where i work think putting those engines that have 10 more "hp" in their 17 second cars will make them run 13s, i find that quite amusing

lol... ya, that is pretty amusing. "Smile and nod and they wont attack" [:p] The only setup that would do a 13 sec pass would be a completely gutted EG hatch or a CRX with a jdm H22 motor (or the new K20 i believe).
